| HEAVEN'S GATE Greetings Surfer in the precious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, |
Providentially, you have arrived at the web site of a Christian church.
Christ Covenant Reformed
(Presbyterian Church in America)
| We are very far from being cultic in any sense of that word. We earnestly strive to give a credible witness to the once revealed gospel and glory of God's only Son: Jesus Christ. In doing so, we are very serious in our approach to God's revealed Word in both the Old and New Testaments. |
| We offer for your consideration three sermons on the topic of Heaven's Gate and the continuing Babylonian misunderstanding of that term: |
| HEAVEN'S GATE | SYMBOLIC BABYLON | THE END OF BABYLON |
| John 14: 1-14 | Revelation 18: 1-24 | Isaiah 21: 1-10 |

In the midst of all the media attention to the recent cultic self-sacrifice we would like to offer an historic and biblical observation on the spiritual significance of the true "Heaven's Gate".We would also assure everyone that the final coming of our Lord Jesus Christ will not be in secret, but in the full light of day from one end of the earth to the other. One Day, when all Heaven breaks loose, we believe that there will be no doubt as to what is really happening. Until that day, our job, like that of every true believer in Jesus Christ is threefold:
We are Evangelical in witness, Reformed in doctrine and Presbyterian in Government. Should you desire more information about our work and witness, we have well over a hundred pages of information outlined at our web site: TULIP.org. May the Lord bless you within His will in all ways, always.
- As Christians we are to believe the Gospel record that there was but one Son of God. And that He came in the fullness of time, was crucified, buried and raised from the dead. He also ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of God the Father, from whence He shall come again at the end of the age. All of the great creeds of Christiandom agree to these minimal essentials.
- As Christians we are to live in obedience to the revealed laws and regulations given to us in the inspired words of the Old and New Testaments. Certainly, Jesus through the Apostles saw fit to soften and reorient several of the ceremonial, dietary and punishment proscriptions of the Old Covenant under the administration of the New Covenant. However, all that remains unchanged by Christ of God's revelationary record, will stand for all time.
- As Christians we understand that we are to be grateful for our calling into faith and that we must gather on the Lord's Day each week to worship our great Triune God (Father - Son - Holy Spirit). Further, we are to live and teach the faith once given to the saints in order that others may see the reflected glory of our Father in heaven.
